In a heartwarming display of unity, Singapore communities come together to provide a safe space for a vulnerable neighbour.
On the 24th of May 2022, GoodHood users bonded over a concerning post made by a local student. As the post reads, the student asks their neighbours for recommendations on where to find a safe space with electricity and a washing machine, in order to escape their tumultuous family relationships and focus on their studies.
Other users came forward to offer solutions and support without hesitation. The recommendations spanned from advising the student to seek out community resources, to using save spaces provided by religious institutions.
Other neighbours checked in with the student themselves in light of the traumatising situation.
These residents are the paragon of neighbourliness in Singapore, spreading kindness and giving solace to those in need.
